Was there ever a moment in your life where you felt totally loved? Absolutely loved - without any "ifs" and "buts"!
If so, then you probably know what I mean - if not, then you probably know the longing for it.
It is a great feeling of being simple and absolutely loved. And I do not know a word that can describe this feeling truly and fully. Not a word that describes it so that is not always something missing. It's just incredible - loved to be perfect.
I believe that the longing for love is what makes us human beings most of all. The most of what we do, we do - I believe - out of this longing.
Because we want to be loved!
Whether it is success, good grades, recognition, a cool image, friends, our clothing, our behavior, our jokes, and and and ...
We want to be loved!
I believe that we humans have a strong desire for love, because God has this longing for love. He loves us with all my heart (and God's heart is great) and he longs to be loved by us. That is the reason why God has spoken to people at that time and why he still does today. This is the reason why the Bible tells them again and again, is that God will have something to do with people. And that's the reason why Jesus came to this world and eventually died on the cross:
To show us how much he loves us!
It is the greatest love story in the world!
In everything God does, he tries to tell us how much he loves us!
Understanding the one hand is incredibly great (There is someone who loves me as I am! "No" If " and "buts" - more than his own life !)...
... on the other hand, it is also incredibly frightening (For it raises the question why so many people can feel and still do not know anything about it!)

What do you know why we find it so hard to feel it?
That God loves us more than anything!
